Working Mirrors

About

Working Mirrors ( with Krystal Hubbard of Bridging Worlds Botanica) "Cover all the mirrors in the house after someone dies!" "Don't sleep with a mirror facing your bed!" "Lawd Hammercy!!! Don't hang a mirror directly across from a window!" Do these statements sound familiar? These are classic examples of "old wives tales" but are they really 'tales' or is there more behind the sayings? Mirror work is found in Greek Mythology, ancient folklore, Disney films, and movies like "Candyman", but what do mirrors have to offer in Rootwork? A lot actually! In this class you will explore: •The history of mirrors and their composition •Folklore pertaining to mirror use •Mirror use for protection •Conditioning mirrors and their uses
